A Maze'n Farmyard, LLC, is a family amusement operation located in Eden Valley, Minnesota. Attractions at A Maze'n Farmyard range from the titular maze, which occupies 20,000 square feet, to a brand new duck- and fish-feeding pond.
Feeding ducks and geese at a local pond is a leisurely pastime that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages and backgrounds. That said, people should ensure that they are providing the animals with food that is safe to eat. Contrary to popular belief, bread and related foods should not be fed to waterfowl, as they provide no nutritional value and can stunt duckling growth. Furthermore, uneaten bread can pollute water sources and draw rodents to the area. Spoiled food and junk food should also be avoided, particularly the former, as moldy or rotten food can be fatal to waterfowl. That said, a multitude of food products can provide ducks and geese with important nutrients and vitamins, namely those that bear similarities to natural waterfowl food sources. These items include cracked corn, cooked or uncooked rice, oats, grains, and bird seed. People can even consider visiting a local pet or animal supply store and discussing duck food with a knowledgeable professional.
