A Maze’n Farmyard provides endless hours of fun for families all year round. Situated in Eden Valley, Minnesota, A Maze’n Farmyard contains a mini-golf course, a 20,000-square-foot maze, an interactive on-site barn, and numerous other attractions. The amusement park has hosted a number of fundraising events to support the work of Youth for Christ International, a Christian organization that uses ministry to impact the lives of young people.
One of Youth for Christ’s organizational goals is to establish and strengthen relationships between members of the ministry and young parents. The Central Minnesota Youth for Christ chapter provides ministry services to support teenage parents through its Parent Life program. Young parents can place their children in on-site child care while they participate in parenting and life skill courses. Parent Life also coordinates Abigail’s Closet, a donation center that solicits good quality clothing, toys, and baby necessities. Parents enrolled in Parent Life can earn these items by meeting with mentors and working with them to set life goals.

Featuring barnyard animals, children’s activities, and a giant maze, A Maze'n Farmyard in Eden Valley, Minnesota, hosts daily activities all summer and weekend festivities throughout the fall. A Maze'n Farmyard is operated by Sheila and Paul Haag, Eden Valley community members who give back to others through their support of nonprofit groups and organizations such as Youth for Christ International. Founded more than 70 years ago, Youth for Christ was founded by Christian leaders who believed that traditional Christian outreach was failing to engage the youth of the world. Since that time, Youth for Christ has expanded to include tens of thousands of volunteers in countries around the world who spread the message of Jesus Christ through energetic, youth-centered initiatives. In addition to its local programs, Youth for Christ operates Foundation for the Nations. Headquartered at Youth for Christ's Northern Ireland offices, the foundation works to raise funds for Youth for Christ projects by partnering with individuals, organizations, and companies. These funds are then distributed to Youth for Christ chapters through a competitive grant application process. To be eligible for a foundation grant, applications must be for projects that will commence within 12 months of funding. The projects must also be approved by applying nation’s Youth for Christ national director, by the chair of the organization’s National Board, and by the appropriate area or regional director, or the international director. Project descriptions can vary widely, however, with funding available for capital improvements, website development, humanitarian aid projects, and others. |
